Evening Shadows

Clifton, evening shadows photo CliftonMay2013163a_zps9ecfcb47.jpg
Evening shadows on historic Chase Creek Street, Clifton, Arizona

When shadows brush the mountains
As the sun is going down,
A hush of peace descending
Shrouds the dusty mining town.

What an interesting composition. I love the late afternoon light and miss the clear Arizona air.

This reminds me of an old fashioned Western movie set (except it is in color and minus the truck). Almost as if the Earp brothers and Clantons are about to mix it up in Tombstone...it seems such a classic mining town. I like the simplicity of this!

Love those long evening shadows. So dark and so defined. Mine is also an evening shadow. Great shot!

Well! LOL! I guess I was more discombobulated from yesterday's trip than I thought I was! I didn't realie until now that I had not posted my link here. No wonder...well, better late than never, I say.
Your image does feel like time travel or New Mexico!

Very interesting location. It looks haunted.

Love this...if it weren't for the vehicle, it would be quite reminiscent of a AZ. Ghost Town.

I love the verse that accents this photo. They go so well together.
